Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying 7-Eleven Robbery Suspects; Surveillance Video Released

Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects caught on surveillance video during an armed robbery on March 17.

The robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven convenience store in the 8100 block of Fenton Street in downtown Silver Spring.

According to an MCPD press release, the investigation revealed that two suspects entered the 7-Eleven store at approximately 10:57 a.m. on March 17. One suspect approached an employee and demanded money from the cash registers while the other suspect stood nearby, guarding the area. When the employee complied and opened the cash registers, the first suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash. Subsequently, both suspects fled the scene.

After reviewing the store’s surveillance footage, Major Crimes detectives obtained a description of the suspects involved in the robbery (video below).

The first suspect is described as a Black male in his early twenties, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a thin build, wearing all-black clothing, including black gloves and a black ski mask. The second suspect is also described as a Black male in his early twenties, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a bright blue and black North Face jacket, a dark gray knit hat, dark pants, and white/black/blue shoes.
