Locavino, the wine café that will replace Adega at 8519 Fenton St., is planning a mid-August opening, according to an announcement to supporters from owners Jarrod Jabre and Justin Wallace. The café will host a private event for friends and supporters, followed by a grand opening for the general public.
Dip n Rolls, the café at 8737 Colesville Rd. that featured Vietnamese-style banh mi and spring rolls, has permanently closed. In a note to customers, the owner cited a desire to spend more time with her daughter and help raise her grandchildren as the reason she shut down.

Fat Fingers began operating last week with a soft opening at 8213 Georgia Ave. in anticipation of its grand opening, tentatively scheduled for August 19.
