The Taste the World of Fenton Village event will mark its 10th anniversary this weekend with a change in both format and duration due to the COVID-19 emergency.
The annual celebration of the area’s small, independent restaurants and their ethnic culinary offerings will begin Sunday, May 17 and run through Saturday, May 23. It will feature take out options rather than small tastings from participating restaurants.
“While we can’t have the usual street festival, we can still celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Taste the World of Fenton Village. This year, you have an entire week to check out some of the great offerings in Fenton Village,” said County Executive Marc Elrich in a press release. “Fenton Village is a welcoming community made up of hard-working small businesses owners who have always planned special menus and tastings to make this a great experience for attendees, and that tradition continues this year.”
Each customer who orders from a participating outlet during the week will be eligible to enter a raffle for one of three $50 “Fenton Village Bucks,” coupons that can be used once restaurants resume normal operations.
To enter after placing an order, customers can fill out an online form for each restaurant from which they ordered.
More than two dozen restaurants plan to participate. Customers can check each outlet for hours, any special offers and other information.
