Mandarin Restaurant at 8411 Georgia Ave. reopened over the holiday weekend about 15 months after a rooftop fire caused the closure.

The fire occurred on Feb. 27, 2017 and was apparently connected to work being done on the roof at the time. No one was reported injured, though traffic on Georgia Avenue was snarled for several hours that afternoon.

The restaurant opened May 26 and is offering 10 percent off of either dine-in or carryout orders until June 2.

The store is open Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-midnight, and Sunday from noon-11 p.m.

The restaurant also offers delivery service within 2.5 miles for a fee of $1-$3.
