The county has announced the following holiday schedule for Veterans Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
County offices and libraries, along with state offices and courts, will be closed, though the Alcohol Beverage Services stores will be open noon–7 p.m.
Indoor aquatic facilities will be open, though recreation centers, senior centers and administrative offices will be closed. For park facilities information, see www.MontgomeryParks.org.
Ride On/Ride On extRa will operate on a weekday schedule, as will the Flash bus service. The RideOn Flex service is not operating during the pandemic. The TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store is not operating due to health crisis; the TRiPS Commuter Store at Silver Spring Transit Center will be open 10 a.m..–4 p.m.
County-provided trash and recycling collection will not be collected on Nov. 11. After the holiday, collections will slide to be one day later than normal. However, the Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station will be open on Nov. 11.
Finally, parking at the county’s public garages, lots and curbside meters will be free.
