Police, Fire Investigate Fatal Apartment Building Fire in Leisure World; No Foul Play Suspected

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police and Fire Explosive Investigators from the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service are jointly conducting a death investigation following an early morning apartment building fire in Leisure World of Maryland, according to an MCPD press release.

On Saturday, November 28, at approximately 1:32 a.m., 4th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to an apartment fire in the 15200 block of Elkridge Way in Leisure World.

Fire and Rescue Service personnel located a deceased female resident inside her apartment. At this time, there is no foul play suspected in her death.

Police say the resident will be identified once the family makes notifications.
