The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for central and southeast Montgomery County until 10 p.m. this evening.
NWS forecasts multiple showers and thunderstorms in the region today that could drop rain at the rate of 1-2” per hour.
“Runoff from excessive rainfall may cause rapid rises of water in low-lying and poor drainage areas as well as streams and creeks, resulting in flash flooding. Urban areas will be most susceptible,” the alert said.
