Main Street Pearl to Hold Grand Opening Friday in Takoma Park

Main Street Pearl, which advertises itself as a bubbly bar, noshery and tuck shop, will have its grand opening from 3–7 p.m. Friday, March 12 at 7050 Carroll Ave. in Takoma Park.

The women-owned space offers bubble tea, kombucha on tap, mocktails, sparkling wine, beer, hard cider and other drinks at the bubbly bar. The shop also will sell craft beer, sparking wine and other alcohol products at retail.

The noshery will sell baked goods from Sticky Fingers DC, pickle and hummus platters, bagels, and small bites, according to the announcement from Main Street Takoma. Customers can dine inside (when safe) or on one of two outdoor patios.

The 400-square-foot shop will feature locally sourced art, candles, body products, accessories, jewelry, home goods, plants, whole bean coffee, tea sachets, cleaning products and more in its gift section.

In addition, the kid-managed Tuck Shop includes a snack cart and additional gift ideas.

In order to help reach its goal of zero waste, Main Street Pearl offers Bubble Club Zero Waste subscriptions—zero waste bubbles with discounts on a choice of on-tap bubbles each month in one of its recycled wine bottles.

The store also is working with Paradigm One to provide returnable take-home containers that will be recycled. The organization ran a pilot program with its containers in a partnership last fall with Takoma Bev Co.

Current store hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
