Reader Vince Pecoraro writes: “Last Wednesday I had my catalytic converter stolen. My car was parked overnight on the street on Medical Park Drive (near Green Holly Terrace) and some time during the night someone cut the converter out of the car.
“I filed a police report but I doubt if they’ll catch the thieves. Montgomery County PD told me that this has been a huge problem as of late.
“[I] just wanted to get the word out and warn everyone to park your car in well-lit areas, near a camera if possible. And if your car is like mine and often targeted for its converter, consider getting a shield or alarm.”
