Sip & Develop to Open Saturday in Downtown Silver Spring

Sip & Develop, a new photography studio that combines a bring-your-own beverage social gathering space with darkrooms that allow customers to develop film, will hold a grand opening this Saturday in Downtown Silver Spring, according to signage posted at the location.

The grand opening will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, and Miami Dolphins linebacker Jerome Baker will be in attendance. The studio is located at the former home of the Sprint store at 8501 Fenton St. in the Downtown Silver Spring development. The Sprint store closed after the company merged with T-Mobile in 2020, and relocated to the T-Mobile store at 8668 Colesville Rd.

“This celebration is going to be epic! Be one of Sip & Develop VIPs at the Grand Opening Ceremony on March 5th, 2022 by reserving a FREE ticket now!”, the event listing reads. “We are extending an invitation to those who want to be entertained — Bring your friends, co-workers, family, and friends to this red-carpet, ribbon-cutting, picture taking with stars affair.

“Sip & Develop is here! Located in Silver Spring, Maryland and we are proud to be the only company in the United States that combines a “Bring Your Own” self-serve beverage option and social environment with easy-to-understand film developing training. NO film developing experience is required!

“So come get a photo op with Celebrity NFL Player, Jerome Baker and take a tour of our facility! And if that’s not enough and you are not ready to go home, stay with us and book a seat in our studio to develop your own photos!”
