Goldberg’s to Close Potomac Location

Goldberg’s New York Bagels will close its Potomac location, according to reports.

The MoCo Show reported over the weekend that Goldberg’s will close its store in the Cabin John Village shopping center “in a few weeks.” Management said to Store Reporter that rent has gotten too high, and they won’t be back after the Passover holiday.

Goldberg’s remaining locations in Silver Spring and Rockville will remain open.

Dan Keleman opened Goldberg’s in the Woodside neighborhood of Silver Spring in 2010, according to Washington City Paper. It was the second location to open after the original location opened in Rockville, and they opened the Potomac store in 2012.

Eater featured Goldberg’s last year in its list of standout bagels around the D.C. area. “New York and New Jersey expats have far less standing to gripe about bagels in Washington than they did just a few years ago,” Eater said in the article.
