UPDATED: Concern for Missing Silver Spring Woman

UPDATE 4/8/2022 11:40 a.m. — Montgomery County Police tweeted that Magdah Hafez has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the county’s 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Silver Spring woman who has not been seen since last Saturday.

“Magdah Hafez, age 39, was last seen on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at approximately 3 p.m., in the 300 block of Wayne Avenue,” reads an MCPD news release. Hafez is approximately 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. She has brown eyes and short black hair. She was last seen wearing a green sun hat, a green padded jacket, a gray sweater with flowers, camouflage green joggers and grey sneakers.

“Police and family are concerned for her welfare. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Magdah Hafez is asked to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at (240) 773-6870 or the police non-emergency number at (301) 279- 8000 (24-hour line). Callers may remain anonymous.”
