The county and Takoma Park announced closings and other changes for the Memorial Day holiday May 30.
County offices and libraries as well as state offices and courts will be closed. The Planning Department offices along withstate Motor Vehicle Administration offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program stations also will close.
Most Alcohol Beverages Services stores will be open 10 a.m–5 p.m., though the Poolesville spirits-only story will be open noon–5 p.m.
Ride On will operate on a Sunday schedule using the new schedules that went into effect on May 8, which can be viewed at RideOnBus.com.
Ride On extRa and Flex will not be in service, and Flash will operate on a weekend schedule (Orange Line only). The TRiPS Silver Spring commuter store will be open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. while the TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store will close.
There will be no service on MARC trains and commuter buses.
Metrorail will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule between 7 a.m. and midnight. Trains will arrive every 12 minutes until 10 p.m., then every 18 minutes until closing. Metrobus will operate on a Sunday service; more information is available online.
The Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station will be closed, and county recycling and trash pickup will not take place on Monday. Pickups will slide one day during the week beginning on Tuesday.
County outdoor aquatic facilities will open on Saturday and be open 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. on weekends only until mid-June. Indoor aquatic facilities will operate on a normal schedule.
In Takoma Park, city offices and facilities will be closed both on Sunday, May 29 and Monday, May 30.
