Montgomery County Police announced Monday that a grand jury has indicted 22-year-old Davee Mannah Kromah of Silver Spring on 10 counts related to a hit-and-run pedestrian collision that occurred last May.
The charges include felony hit-and-run and life-threatening injury resulting from driving a motor vehicle in a criminally negligent manner, according to an MCPD press release.
At approximately 9:50 p.m. on May 5, Kromah was driving north on Columbia Pike in a dark gray 2014 Ford Fusion when he ran a red light and struck an adult male in a crosswalk at Columbia Pike and Prelude Drive in White Oak.
Responding officers identified the make and model of the suspect vehicle and searched the surrounding area. Kromah was identified as the possible driver of the damaged Ford Fusion found on Heather Hollow Circle, close to his residence.
During the investigation, detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit interviewed Kromah and found items of evidence linking him to the hit-and-run.
Bethesda Beat reported yesterday that attorney K. Lawson Wellington is currently representing Kromah.
