County Police Ask Public for Help Identifying Suspects in 7-Eleven Robbery

Detectives from the county’s Major Crimes Division have released surveillance video of two suspects in a commercial armed robbery of a 7-Eleven in the Hillandale area of Silver Spring.

“At approximately 3:44 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the 10200 block of New Hampshire Ave. for the report of a robbery,” according to a press release.

“The preliminary investigation by detectives has revealed that two masked suspects entered the business,” the release continues.

“One suspect produced a handgun, announced the robbery and ordered the employee to the floor. The same suspect then ripped the cash drawer from the register and both suspects left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.”

One suspect is described as a Black male, 20–30 years old, about 5’9” with a slim build, wearing all black clothes and Nike sneakers.

The second one is also described as a Black male, about the same age and height but with a heavy build, wearing a black hoodie and camouflage pants.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspects.
