A car crashed into the outdoor seating area of a Silver Spring restaurant on Monday evening.
The incident occurred during the dinner rush at approximately 7 p.m. at The Daily Dish restaurant, located in the Rock Creek Shopping Center at 8301 Grubb Road.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said no one was taken to the hospital after the car smashed a window of the Corner Market and rammed through tables and chairs in the outdoor dining area at The Daily Dish.
“First thing’s first, I hope everybody is okay. Property is property. Lives are more concerning than property,” Parkway Deli manager Chris Morales said to WJLA.
WJLA also reported that this is the third time in a year that a car has crashed into businesses at the Rock Creek Shopping Center, including Parkway Deli.
The Daily Dish is owned by Jerry Hollinger, who also operates The Dish and Dram in Kensington and J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse in downtown Silver Spring.
