Java Nation Near Opening in Downtown Silver Spring

There are signs that Java Nation is getting closer to its anticipated September opening in downtown Silver Spring.

Last year, Java Nation announced its intention to open a fourth coffee shop/café in the Station Square office complex at 1010 Wayne Ave. According to the company, the Silver Spring location will include two distinct concepts: a quick-service Java Express and a full-service Java Restobar:

Java Express, the go-to spot for those in a rush but still craving their daily java fix. Java Express is designed to provide quick and efficient service without compromising on quality. Picture a sleek and streamlined space where you can swiftly grab your favorite coffee beverage, fresh salads, sandwiches and sweets personalized to your taste. Whether it’s a perfectly balanced espresso shot, a delicious omelet, or a refreshing iced beverage, Java Express ensures that your daily needs are met promptly!

Introducing Java Restobar, the ultimate destination in downtown Silver Spring for an extraordinary fusion of artisan cocktails, exceptional coffee, and delectable dining experiences from morning till night. With its innovative concept, Java Restobar seamlessly blends the worlds of mixology, coffee craftsmanship, and culinary delights, offering a truly immersive and unforgettable experience for all. Java Restobar invites you to indulge in the perfect harmony of flavors, ambiance for breakfast, lunch and dinner with live music. Step into a realm where coffee, cocktails, and culinary creations converge, and let Java Restobar become your ultimate destination for all-day dining bliss.

Exterior signage was installed earlier this month and is already lit at night, according to Robert Dyer. There are window screens in place to prevent curious visitors from peeking inside, however, rendered images of the shop’s interior are displayed on them.

Java Nation has locations in Kensington, on Rockville Pike in North Bethesda, and in Kentlands in Gaithersburg. According to the company’s website, the company opened its first store in 2012 and offers freshly roasted coffee and locally sourced produce.

The North Bethesda location also serves cocktails, beer, and wine; a liquor board hearing was held last month for the upcoming downtown Silver Spring location. An exact opening date has not been announced.
