Montgomery County Police have arrested 38-year-old Larry Goisse of Silver Spring for allegedly installing hidden cameras inside an Airbnb bedroom rented by two guests last August.
The investigation revealed that a couple from Texas rented a bedroom on Airbnb inside a residence in the 1100 block of Dale Drive in Silver Spring. A couple discovered hidden cameras inside smoke detectors in the bathroom and bedroom after they arrived at the location, according to an MCPD news release.
The couple left the house and reported the incident to the police at the Target store on Cherry Hill Road in Silver Spring.
Officers responded to the location and spoke with the homeowner, who denied knowing anything about the hidden cameras and permitted officers to search the residence. The homeowner informed officers that his twin brother, Larry Goisse, lived at the residence along with a male renting a room in the house. Officers were permitted to search the room of the male renter, where another hidden camera was found inside a smoke detector.
The officers then contacted Goisse, who denied the officers access to his bedroom.
After obtaining and executing a search warrant, the residence was searched, including Goisse’s bedroom, where drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and items of evidentiary value were seized.
An arrest warrant was issued for Larry Goisse in February, charging him with peeping tom, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal installation of visual surveillance in private areas.
Goisse was picked up by Montgomery County officers from a New Jersey correctional facility on August 17 and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, MCPD said.
