D.C. Man Arrested for Marathon Gas Station Robbery, Assault

Montgomery County Police have arrested 32-year-old Curtis Cardel Jackson from Washington, D.C. in connection with a strong-arm robbery at the Woodside Marathon gas station on October 2.

According to an MCPD press release, the incident occurred at the Woodside Marathon gas station in the 9500 block of Georgia Ave. at around 6:19 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, and involved Jackson and an unidentified male accomplice entering the business, threatening an employee, and demanding access to the cash register. The employee reportedly complied with their demands, and the pair made off with an undisclosed amount of money and items from the store before fleeing the scene.

Following an investigation, Jackson was identified as a suspect, and on Wednesday, December 6, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for him on charges of robbery and second-degree assault.

Jackson is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, MCPD said.
