Montgomery Parks wants to inform drivers and pedestrians that a section of Sligo Creek Parkway in Silver Spring will be closed on Wednesday.
Sligo Creek Parkway between Wayne Ave. and Piney Branch Road will be closed for tree removal from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Wednesday, Dec. 13. According to a news release, a Montgomery Parks contractor will remove six hazardous, dead, or dying trees during the project, and the work is expected to be completed in one day.
In the case of inclement weather, the closure will happen on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
