J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse will be hosting an “All That Glitters” dinner on New Year’s Eve.
The restaurant has planned a special New Year’s Eve celebration featuring an amuse-bouche and a variety of starters. The main course options include Rack of Lamb in a port wine reduction with root vegetable gratin and sautéed rainbow Swiss chard, Angus beef tenderloin filet in a bordelaise sauce with potato croquette and creamed spinach, and Chesapeake Bay line-caught rockfish in a saffron mussel cream sauce served with clams, julienne carrots, fennel, leeks and red pepper, and baby potatoes.
Additional upgrades are available at an extra cost, including a New Year’s Eve raw bar plate, surf & turf, a grilled veal chop, 32-ounce Angus tomahawk steak for two, and whole branzino & Gulf shrimp.
The meal will end with a decadent dessert and a gift of chocolate truffles to enjoy at home. Following dinner, a complimentary champagne toast will be served with a countdown to the new year.
The “All That Glitters” dinner costs $75 excluding tax; a 20% gratuity will be added to the final bill. Additional menu upgrades and a la carte raw bar will be available, however, J. Hollinger’s regular a la carte menu will not be offered during the New Year’s Eve dinner.
J. Hollinger’s is located at 8606 Colesville Rd. in downtown Silver Spring. Seatings are available from 5 to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve; reservations are required and can be made online.
