Zen Renovations has signed a deal to open a new location in D.C.’s Eastern Market neighborhood.
The Silver Spring-based interior design and renovation company has agreed to lease a 1,750-square-foot space at 700 Pennsylvania Ave. SE from D.C.-based commercial real estate developer EastBanc. The property, which sits between the Barracks Row and Market Row retail areas near the Eastern Market Metro station, includes two conference centers, a rooftop terrace with clear 360-degree views of the Capitol, a fitness center, and underground parking.
Both Zen Renovations and EastBanc handled their own representation in the lease, as reported by Commercial Observer.
“We are truly excited to be expanding our services to this vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood,“ said Kevin Harris, CEO of Zen Renovations. “We look forward to connecting with our neighbors and homeowners and being a part of the tremendous creative energy at Eastern Market.”
According to a press release, Zen Renovations has over thirty years of experience remodeling living spaces to create modern oases for contemporary lifestyles in the DMV area. The Zen team specializes in kitchen, bathroom, basement, and other interior renovations, bringing a fully licensed team of craftsmen, architects, designers, and support staff to each project.
The company is currently scheduling online consultations leading up to the grand opening at Eastern Market, which is scheduled for early next year.

Zen Renovations opened its first design studio last year at 117 Carroll St. NW in Takoma D.C., winning the “Best Contractor of 2023” Reader’s Pick award in Washington City Paper’s Best of D.C. issue. Owner Kevin Harris moved to Takoma Park in 1990 and currently lives with his family in Silver Spring. He started his construction career as the Director of the YouthBuild program at the Latin American Youth Center, where he trained out-of-school youth aged 16-24 in construction skills while helping them obtain their GED.
