$10,000 Reward Offered for Shalla Restaurant Armed Robbery Suspects

Montgomery County Police are seeking assistance in identifying the suspects involved in an armed robbery early Thursday at the Shalla Ethiopian Restaurant and Bar in downtown Silver Spring.

According to an MCPD press release, officers from the 3rd District responded to the Shalla restaurant on Sligo Ave. at 12:20 a.m. Thursday for the report of an armed robbery. Three masked men, two armed with guns and one carrying a red bag, entered the restaurant. They demanded personal property from the people inside, left with the stolen items, and headed toward the District.

MCPD described the first suspect as a heavy-set male wearing a black BMW hooded sweatshirt with black sweatpants and carrying a shotgun. The second suspect is a male wearing all-black clothing, a black jacket, and carrying a long rifle firearm. The third suspect is a male wearing a black jacket, white sweatshirt, black pants, and a white facemask.
