Punta Cana Tropical Grill will be taking over the location that was previously occupied by Tropics Ice Cream & Jerk at 9324 Georgia Ave. in Montgomery Hills.
The Dominican fast-food restaurant took over the space vacated by Tropics Ice Cream & Jerk, which closed in October. The space, next to the newly-opened Milk & Honey, was offered for a 5-year lease through SCS Realty Advisors, represented by agent Jonathan Weiss.
“As soon as I saw the post about it closing, I went for it! It’s a busy road I know people will stop here to try it out,” the restaurant’s owner said to The MoCo Show. “Silver Spring has unique diverse community with appetite for Dominican dishes. I understand how hard it is to stop for food and get good food so I came out with the idea to put a fast food Dominican carryout.”
Punta Cana Tropical Grill is currently set to open in spring 2024. The Source will share more information as it becomes available.
