Silver Spring Woman Wins $5 Million on Maryland Lottery Scratch-Off

A Silver Spring woman recently won one of four $5 million prizes from the $50 Maryland Lottery game, $5,000,000 CASH.

According to the Maryland Lottery, the woman, who was not identified, purchased the winning instant ticket at Great Plaza Liquor, located at 6439 Marlboro Pike in District Heights. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the top-prize winning scratch-off, amounting to 1/10th of 1% of the prize value.

Since its launch on February 19, the $5,000,000 CASH game rapidly ascended to the top spot on the Lottery’s Top 40 Scratch-offs list. Alongside the $5 million grand prize, the game features two additional high-tier prizes at the $100,000 and $10,000 levels. Currently, none of the 10 prizes at the $100,000 tier have been claimed, while players have secured three out of the original 100 prizes at the $10,000 level.
