The Angry Jerk’s second location is now open in the former HipCityVeg location at 1300 Connecticut Ave. NW in D.C.’s Dupont Circle neighborhood.
Owner Jason Miskiri originally opened The Angry Jerk at 8223 Georgia Ave. in downtown Silver Spring in 2021. Later, he signed a lease for a 2,200-square-foot space at the Juniper apartment complex near the Merriweather Post Pavilion at 6000 Merriweather Drive in Columbia, which is still listed as “Coming Soon” on the restaurant’s website.
Miskiri also operates other downtown Silver Spring establishments like The Breakfast Club, which opened in late 2022 at 8240 Fenton St., and Society Restaurant & Lounge, which he opened in 2012 at 8229 Georgia Ave. and co-owns with his sister, Samantha Khamis-el-Miskiri.
