Meet Kimberly Herrera, one of the many hardworking, dedicated cleaners at Well-Paid Maids.
Kimberly joined the Well-Paid Maids team in February 2024. She was looking for a fresh start and was excited to turn what she considers an enjoyable hobby — cleaning — into a fulfilling career.
Since joining the D.C. branch, she has discovered the many ways Well-Paid Maids stands out from other employers.
Not only does Well-Paid Maids pay a living wage of at least $26 an hour, it also provides benefits, like 24 days of paid time off each year and health insurance. This past year, Kimberly has been able to take sick days and still get paid. And with health insurance, she’s able to stay on top of doctor appointments.
There are other benefits she experiences day to day, too. For example, if a customer cancels a cleaning last minute, Kimberly still gets compensated.
Coming from a previous job with poor management and a toxic work environment, Kimberly values the care and consideration Well-Paid Maids shows its team.
“Working at Well-Paid Maids has brought me both mental stability and financial comfort,” she said. “Management is phenomenal.”
