SoberRide® Campaign for the Holidays Begins Tonight

The SoberRide® campaign for the holiday season from the Washington Regional Alcohol Program will begin tonight (Dec. 14) and run through New Year’s Day.

Every night from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., in partnership with Lyft, the program offers free rides to potentially impaired drivers in Lyft’s Washington, D.C coverage area.

To use the program, riders must have the Lyft app installed on their phones and be at least 21 years old.

During the campaign, there will be three different single-use promo codes issued.  Each code is valid for up to $15 off of one ride (riders are responsible for charges greater than $15). The promo codes will be posted here at noon on Dec. 14, Dec. 22 and Dec. 31.

Since 1991, the WRAP service has provided 73,510 safe rides home. The partnership with Lyft began last year.
