Hundreds of people filled Veteran’s Plaza in downtown Silver Spring yesterday to cheer as one speaker after another decried bigotry, racism, discrimination and hatred at a rally to “Stand Up for the Montgomery Way.”
Dave & Buster’s will open its 40,000-square-foot entertainment and amusement venue on Nov. 21, bringing about 250 jobs to the area, according to Andy Smith, general manager of the Ellsworth Place location in downtown Silver Spring.

During the Montgomery County Council’s Silver Spring Town Hall, money was the issue hanging over virtually every concern raised by attendees.
Tomorrow is the last day for early voting in the general election at the county’s 10 early voting locations, including the Silver Spring Civic Building.
