For 30-plus years, Charlie Koiner and his daughter, Lynn, have grown over 20 types of produce in a one-acre plot behind the house that the Koiner family has owned since the 1930s.

Takoma Metro Shooting Update: One Suspect Arrested
We reported yesterday that 3 persons of interest were involved in a shooting at the Takoma Metro Station. Metro Transit Police announced this morning that one suspect was arrested overnight.

Silver Spring Books closed
Silver Spring Books, among the last of bookstores in Downtown Silver Spring after Borders closed in 2011, has closed. Their final day of business was yesterday.
