Suspect Charged in Ellsworth Place Robbery, Unrelated Carjacking

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section have arrested and charged Ezekiel David Harris-Goff, age 18, in an armed robbery Dec. 1 in Ellsworth Place Mall. In addition, Harris-Goff, of an unconfirmed address, has been charged in an unrelated armed carjacking that took place Nov. 2 on 16th Street in Silver Spring.

District 20 Legislators to Sponsor Eviction Protection Bill

Two state legislators from District 20 revealed plans yesterday to introduce legislation that would help protect tenants struggling with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sen. Will Smith (D) and Del. Jheanelle Wilkins (D) will be the lead sponsors of the COVID-19 Eviction Relief Act in the 2021 session of the state legislature.

“Meeko is an unemployed 3 year old Australian cattle dog mix that loves to cuddle. County Looking to Hire Urban District Program Manager

The county is looking for a program manager for the Silver Spring Urban District. The Urban District staff provides support for the Central Business District, maintaining streetscapes and public amenities including plantings, seating, shelters and public art.
