Comedy as a Second Language is a live, interactive standup show hosted by Carol Zoccoli and featuring a great lineup of immigrant and first gen performers, including Brittany Carney, David Balaguizi, Hector Castro and Kim Villamera. Enjoy lots of fun with our comics as they share stories and jokes about their lives, their families and the relationship with their new home. Audiences love this show which is the final night of our SPRUNG! Comedy Festival.
Our goal is to bring people together for great live comedy and to reflect the diversity of our wonderful Silver Spring on stage.Enjoy dinner at ALL SET Restaurant before or after the show as part of our Comedy & Cocktails promotion, and see more shows for less with an All Access Pass.

SPRUNG! is Silver Spring’s comedy festival presented by Improbable Comedy. Now in its third year, we present seven shows over four nights of comedy at the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre on March 26 – 29, 2025. With signature shows, new performances, and partner productions, SPRUNG! will bring over a thousand people together for laughs in this great Silver Spring community. About Improbable Comedy:
Founded in 2012 by social-worker-turned-comedy-producer Kim Levone, Improbable Comedy has hosted more than 150 shows in local venues around the DMV. The goal has been to transform the industry by giving the mic to hilarious comedians who have been underrepresented on stage. Since our first show at Vicino’s restaurant, we have brought big laughs to theatres, bars, swanky clubs, and people’s homes. We now have regular shows at Busboys & Poets and the Arts Barn as well as partnerships with the Montgomery Parks Department and at the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre.
