Garage Punk Rock N Roll night is a hidden gem in the DMV. Every first Saturday of the month, head over to American Legion Post 41 in Silver Spring, MD, and you’ll find three or four local bands and sometimes a touring band playing great garage rock/punk derived music.
Organized by local lo-fi garage punk band, Apollo 66, these shows are always free and curated for the pure love of rock ‘n’ roll and the community it creates.
Post 41 has cash a bar (ATM on site) with cheap drinks and a whole bunch of friendly welcoming faces.
LOCATION/PARKING: The Legion is located directly behind the Greyhound station on the corner of Fenton St. and Sligo Ave. Enter from the public parking lot (Fenton St. entrance) next to the Greyhound station
