Summer Fencing Camps at DC Fencers Club

Modern fencing is an Olympic sport with roots in European sword-fighting of centuries past. Today, fencing is a competitive sport of finesse, skill, strategy and endurance. Fencing offers children and teens a positive physical activity, and is often called “physical chess” for its strategic and mental challenges. And fencing is fun!
This July and August, DC Fencers Club offers several weeklong summer fencing camps introduce young people to the many benefits of this Olympic sport. Beyond the fitness benefits, fencing promotes intellectual development, decision making skills, self discipline, and confidence.
The fencing day camps are open to children ages 7 -16. Beginner through advanced fencers are welcome and equipment and uniforms are provided. Each weeklong camp takes place Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Complimentary before care starting at 9:00 a.m.; aftercare is also available.

Price: one camp – $435, two camps – $850, three camps – $1250, each additional camp – $400
Students are welcome to sign-up for more than one week.
DC Fencers Club, a dedicated fencing facility in Silver Spring, Md., located minutes from the Beltway. DC Fencers Club (DCFC) has a national and international reputation as one of the best fencing clubs in the United States. The club offers instruction through classes, camps, workshops, and individual lessons.
