County Police Looking for Assistance to Identify Burglary Suspect

County detectives are looking for assistance to identify a suspect in a May 12 residential burglary in the Woodside area, according to a police department press release.

The suspect, or suspects, is reported to have entered a home in the 1700 block of East-West Highway sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. through a rear door, taking property including credit cards.

“A suspect used a stolen credit card at the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 8455 Colesville Road in Silver Spring and at the H&M store located at 8518 Fenton Street in Silver Spring,” the release said. “This same suspect attempted to use a stolen credit card at the Champs Sports store located inside the Westfield Wheaton mall located at 11160 Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton but that transaction was declined.”

Police have release surveillance photographs. Anyone who recognizes the suspect, or has information about this burglary should contact the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240.773.6710.
