The Montgomery County Food Council has launched a survey to gather input from residents regarding 2021 food security initiatives, the group announced.
The survey, which is eight questions long, is intended to help guide the county in how to best serve target communities during and after the pandemic in its programs, policy development and funding priorities.
The survey is now available in English and in Spanish, and will soon be launched in in French, Amharic and Mandarin, according to the announcement.
Residents who complete Part I of the survey will be entered in a drawing to win a $25 gift card, and those who complete Parts I and II of the survey will be entered to win a $50 gift card.
The group is “an independent council formed and led by individual community members and representatives of local businesses, government, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions that broadly represent the food system both substantively and geographically,” according to its website.
A local firm, Community Science, will help the Food Council administer this survey, including data collection and analysis as it works to “improve access to safe, sufficient, nutritious and culturally appropriate food to all Montgomery County residents.”
The deadline to complete the survey is Wednesday, March 17.
