Vote by Mail Option Available for November Election

Vote by mail applications are available from the Montgomery County Board of Elections for those who prefer this option for the November election.

Registered voters are eligible to vote by mail as long as they have a Maryland driver’s license or MVA-issued ID card. This will become the voter’s official ballot and anyone choosing this option will not be able to vote at the polls on Election Day on Nov. 8, or during early voting, which is Oct. 27 – Nov. 3.

Apply for the vote by mail ballot at www.777vote.org, selecting Vote by Mail in the left-hand column. The completed application may be mailed, faxed (240-777-8560) or e-mailed ([email protected]) to the Board of Elections. To obtain an application for another person, please call 240-777-8550 for information.

The deadlines for receipt of completed applications are:

To have a ballot mailed to you, the application deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 1. If you mail or deliver this form, the election office must have it by 8 p.m. If sent by fax or email, the office must have it by 11:59 p.m.

To print an online delivery ballot from the state Board of Elections’ website, the deadline is Friday, Nov. 4. If you mail or deliver this form, the election office must have it by 5 pm. If delivered by fax or email, is must arrive by 11:59 pm.

After these dates, absentee ballot applications must be requested in person at the Board of Elections office (18753 N. Frederick Avenue, Suite 210) in Gaithersburg. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

During early voting, the office is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15 and Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; on Oct. 22 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.; and on Sunday Oct. 23 and Nov. 6 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
