The Department of Health and Human Services is offering free vaccinations this month to help ensure students are in compliance with certain state requirements.
These walk-in clinics are for students entering grades 7, 8, 9 and 10 who need proof of vaccinations against Tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap) and Meningococcal meningitis (MCV4) before the 2017-2018 school year starts.
Students who are not in compliance with these requirements will not be allowed to attend school until they provide documentation of Tdap and MCV immunizations.
A copy of the child’s immunization record must be presented to staff to receive vaccinations.
A free clinic is open tomorrow (Aug. 9) from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Silver Spring Health Center, 8630 Fenton St., 10th Floor.
Vaccinations also will available in the same location at the same time next Wednesday, Aug. 16.
