County Executive Marc Elrich, the Planning Department and the Montgomery County delegation to the House of Delegates are seeking applicants to be part of a new Development Review Process Workgroup, officials announced.
“The workgroup will examine the County’s process for reviewing and approving development projects, with a special focus on ensuring the county remains economically competitive,” according to a press release.
The group will include three community representatives, one from up-county, one from mid-county and one from the down county, as these areas are defined by the Planning Department. The county executive and the chair of the Planning Board must agree to these choices.
It also will include three developers as well as representatives of the county, state and other jurisdictions.
Individuals interested in serving on the workgroup must apply by Monday, April 17. The workgroup will be formed by May 1.
Those interested in applying should send an email to the county executive and the Planning Board chair by the deadline, detailing why they are interested and would be a good fit for the role.
