The county’s Department of Transportation will modify the schedules of 23 Ride On bus routes beginning Sunday, Jan. 14.
The goal is to enhance efficiency and punctuality. Although service levels will remain largely unchanged, the adjustments are intended to allocate resources toward areas with higher demand to provide more dependable service, according to an MCDOT press release.
Route changes for the following bus routes are as follows:
- 21 routes will have changes to their timetables: 8, 9, 10, 15, 20, 21, 23, 31, 32, 37, 38, 45, 46, 47, 53, 55, 57, 64, 76, 83 and 90.
- Four routes will have minor adjustments to their maps: 17, 18, 53, and 76.
Route 8, 9, 10, 15, 20, 47, 55, 57, and 64 will have changes to trip times on weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Routes 21, 23, 31, 32, 37, 38, 45, 53, and 90 will also see trip time adjustments, while Routes 17, 18, and 83 will have modifications to their maps and bus stop locations. Additionally, Route 46 will have changes to its trip times on Sundays, and Route 76 will have a stop relocation and extended service.
The updated schedules and maps will be accessible on rideonbus.com and in print.
