Exploring the Magic of Books: Library Lovers Month in Montgomery County

Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) and Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, Inc. (FOLMC) will be hosting special activities and virtual events throughout February in celebration of “Library Lovers Month.”

These events will take place at various library branches and FOLMC chapters across the county, showcasing the range of resources and services offered by MCPL year-round.

“Our libraries serve as lively centers of learning, imagination, creativity and community engagement—essential for fostering equity and ensuring universal access to education,” Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich said in a press release issued Wednesday. “As we celebrate Library Lovers Month, I encourage everyone to explore our library branches, utilize resources they offer and participate in their special event programs.”
