The Montgomery County Commission for Women and Montgomery County Public Libraries are hosting free seminars this month on various personal finance topics.
The seminars will be conducted via Zoom from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, with the first session on May 7 focusing on financial planning. The seminars, open to all, will be led by financial and investment advisors Jamie Lapin and Thiago Glieger.
The free financial seminars offered during May include:
- May 7: Financial Planning 101. This seminar will cover the basics of financial planning, including essential terms and tools to equip attendees with the knowledge needed for financial success.
- May 14: Retirement Planning. This session will focus on strategies for effective retirement planning and address the common concern of ensuring financial resources last throughout one’s retirement years.
- May 21: Social Security and Medicare. Attendees will learn how to utilize and maximize the benefits of government programs they have contributed to throughout their working lives.
- May 28: Divorce and Money. This seminar will provide guidance on maintaining financial health during and after divorce and address its financial implications.
