Early voting starts for Takoma Park elections

Early voting begins today in the City of Takoma Park elections.

Times and location for early voting are:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 1, Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Ave., 2-8 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 2, Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Ave., 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 3, Takoma Park Recreation Center, 7315 New Hampshire Ave., 2-8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 4, Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Ave., 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 5, Washington Adventist University, Wilkinson Hall, 7715 Flower Ave., noon-6 p.m.

Election Day is Tuesday Nov. 7 and voters can cast their ballots from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. at the community center.

Residents who have lived in the city for at least 21 days prior to the election and who are 16 and older are eligible to register and vote in city elections, as are non-citizens. Takoma Park also offers same-day registration for potential voters.

Voters will cast ballots for candidates for mayor and representatives of six city wards.
