Montgomery County has announced its schedule for the Thanksgiving holiday this Thursday.
All county offices, libraries, liquor stores, and recreation programs and facilities will be closed.
The TRiPS Commuter Store at the Silver Spring Transit Center will be closed and the TriPS Mobile Commuter Store will not be operating. Check here for the Montgomery Parks operating schedule.
There will be no trash or recycling pickup on Thursday. Thursday’s collection will be picked up on Friday, and Friday’s collection on Saturday. The Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station will be closed.
All parking at public garages, lots and curbside meters will be free.
Ride On busses will run on a Sunday schedule, while other transit riders should check the Metrorail and/or Metrobus schedules.
Finally, state offices and courts will be closed on both Thanksgiving Day and on Friday, Nov. 24.
