It was read at a Sunday rally in Silver Spring, organized by the Silver Spring Justice Coalition and attended by about 200 people, by Carlean Ponder, as Gilcher could not attend. The rally was held to honor Robert White following his death on Monday, June 11 and to seek greater accountability from the police department.
