“Mosby is an 8-year-old bassador (basset hound and lab mix) who loves cuddles, zucchini (weird, right!), and naps. He’s always a little bit anxious because he was mistreated in previous homes – he’s a rescue – but still loves meeting new people. He’s always happy to learn new tricks unless he’s trying to sleep. He has a really big bark and absolutely despises the mailman. He’s just an angel!”

Police Investigating Shots Fired at Vehicle in White Oak; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department’s 3rd District are investigating shots fired at an occupied vehicle that occurred shortly after midnight on January 23 in a commercial parking lot in White Oak. Area video surveillance captured the suspect firing a gun at the victim’s vehicle, and MCPD is asking for the public’s help with identifying the suspect.

Elrich Plans Virtual Roundtable on Public Safety Task Force Report

County Executive Marc Elrich will hold a virtual roundtable discussion next week on the recommendations contained in the Reimagining Public Safety Task Force Report released yesterday. Elrich appointed a group of 45 volunteer community members, 35 county representatives, and technical consultants last year. The task force was asked to address social and racial injustices in the county and to make recommendations about how to deliver services more equitably.

Council to Hold Hearing, Vote on Reopening Limited Indoor Dining

The County Council will hold a public hearing and vote next week on a revised executive order proposed yesterday by County Executive Marc Elrich. The council is scheduled to introduce a resolution approving Executive Order No. 19-21, COVID-19 Local Order – Amending and Restating Order later today, as well as introduce a similar resolution in their role as the Board of Health.
