The City of Takoma Park released the certified results of the city election, confirming that all incumbents held on to their seats. Mayor Kate Stewart turned back a challenge from Roger Schlegel by a vote of 4,083–2,386 with 29 write-in votes.

This year’s installation on Fountain Plaza is a collection of colorful plexiglass snowflakes hung inside and out on a framework that’s wrapped in blue garland, topped with a crystal burst. Colorful floodlights and blinking lights will illuminate the structure for shoppers and other visitors to enjoy.
