Urban Butcher has hit the “pause” button on operations at the restaurant at 8226 Georgia Ave. “due to the current situation,” according to an announcement on its website and Facebook page. The operators will concentrate their efforts at “Urban Butcher’s younger brother,” El Sapo Cuban Social Club.
The County Council last week approved two resolutions to place charter amendments on the November ballot, both of which would alter the composition of the council, if passed. The County Council yesterday unanimously passed additional targeted funding in response to COVID-19, as well as an amended executive order on county restrictions in response to the pandemic. The Montgomery County Police Department has released surveillance video of a suspect in a downtown Silver Spring burglary and is asking for the public’s help to identify him. The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. on July 12 at the Dunkin’ at 8401 Colesville Rd.

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section have released a cell phone video of one of two suspects in the robbery that occurred in the 1200 block of East-West Highway.
