The former District 3 police station at 801 Sligo Ave. will be converted into arts-related commercial space as part of the planned Artspace Silver Spring Arts Campus scheduled to break ground this summer.

At the Source of the Spring, we like to think of this time of year as “Sourcemas.” That’s when we kick back a little to stop and spend some time appreciating all the little things (and some not so little) that make this area a great place to live and work. Here are a few of them (in no particular order).
A pair of Takoma Park artists has created an outdoor pop-up exhibit that includes a self-guided walking tour of several historic sites along Sligo Creek and near Takoma Junction.
