The Revere Bank branch located in the Lee Plaza Building at 8601 Georgia Ave. will close as of tomorrow, Aug. 14, according to a sign taped to the ATM on the site.
The ATM itself will no longer operate as of 2 p.m. Friday. The sign directs customers to refer to sandyspringbank.com to find a Sandy Spring Bank branch or ATM location.
Olney-based Sandy Spring Bancorp, Inc., the holding company for Sandy Spring Bank, announced in September 2019 that it would acquire Revere Bank for approximately $460 million.
That merger was completed in April of this year, according to a press release.
Revere Bank opened as a community bank on Main Street in Laurel in November 2017 and grew to 11 locations in Maryland.
Sandy Spring Bank has been operating for more than 150 years and currently offers commercial banking, retail banking, mortgage and trust services at more than 65 locations.
